Universal Pictures and its agency Tongal looked to create an ongoing video campaign celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the original Jurassic Park movie, as part of the marketing campaign leading up to the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in June 2018. Andy was hired to write a slate of video concepts to elevate the brand, build nostalgia for the movie and create excitement around the anniversary for 2 phases: 1) ReCut: re-edit the original Jurassic Park film into stand alone videos and 2) ReCreate + ReLive: Edit user-generated videos that recreate or relive favorite moments, characters or memories of the film submitted by Tongal's network of filmmakers, into theme-based compilation videos. Andy was awarded the project - a slate of 11 videos with 7 international versions including a 15 minute Supercut of the entire film - retold by 25+ ReCreations edited together with creative sound design and score. The cuts were released on a weekly basis on jurassicworld.com, and the Jurassic World Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram pages leading up to the release of the film. To date the videos have generated over 6 million views and tens of thousands of shares.
